About me, Daisy Grodzki, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

Hi, I’m Daisy: a Dutch-born, Tassie-adopted, nature-loving, neurodiversity-affirming Mental Health Social Worker.
If you’re looking for a therapist who understands ADHD, Autism, sensory needs, burnout, and the beautifully complex ways neurodivergent brains move through the world… you’re in the right place.

Growing Up With Muddy Knees and “Lost Track of Time” Adventures
I grew up in the south of the Netherlands, usually outdoors, often covered in mud, and almost always late for dinner because nature made me forget clocks existed. Being outside has always been my nervous system's favourite place to be.

From Vet Nurse to Therapist
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working as a vet nurse. I loved the animals deeply, but I started realising I was equally fascinated by the humans attached to them. That curiosity nudged me back to university to study social work. It was during those study years that I realised my brain works a little differently. Psychology classes lit me up. Everything else? Overwhelming, chaotic, or “too much.” This was the start of my unmasking journey - long before I even had the language for it.

Discovering Somatic & Nature-Based Therapy
During my placements, I discovered experiential learning and nature-based therapy, and everything in me went: Oh, THIS makes sense. After uni, my body told me to slow down, so I travelled, kitesurfed, ran a guesthouse in South Africa, and spent years living outdoors. Eventually, ADHD boredom kicked in (naturally), and I returned to mental health work - youth justice, mental health services, and eventually private practice. I learned quickly that if I wanted to keep doing this work sustainably, I needed to do it my way: grounded, embodied, nature-connected, trauma-informed, and deeply neurodiversity-affirming

Finding Home in Tasmania
When my husband and I travelled around Australia, something in me exhaled the moment we reached Tasmania. Now I split my time between therapy, surfing before sessions, mountain biking after them, and exploring the wilderness on weekends. Tasmania feels like the perfect place to do this work - grounded, wild, slow, and full of nature-based regulation.

How I Can Help You

Understand Your Neurodivergence
If you're newly diagnosed, self-identifying, or exploring ADHD or Autism, I help you make sense of your patterns, sensory system, energy, and lived experience.

Regulate Your Nervous System
Burnout, overwhelm, and emotional dysregulation don’t need to be your everyday reality. We explore grounding, somatic tools, pacing, and strategies that actually fit your brain.

Build Your Identity & Unmask Gently
Together we explore who you are underneath the coping, masking, and people-pleasing: reconnecting with your authentic self.

Strengthen Relationships
Using the Developmental Model, I support couples (ND + NT or ND + ND) to communicate, understand each other, and feel safe in the relationship again.

Heal Through Nature
If rooms feel too intense or overstimulating, we can take therapy outdoors. Walk-and-talk sessions are regulating, grounding, and perfect for ND nervous systems.

Support Your Whole Self
You’re not just a mind with a story - you’re a body, a nervous system, a sensory being, a relationship history, and an environment that shapes you. I work with all of you.

If You're Ready for Support That Finally Fits You…

You don’t have to push through, mask, or do it alone anymore. I’d love to walk alongside you - gently, collaboratively, and in a way that honours your pace and your neurotype.
